Mapping for change, mapping for connection, mapping for community, mapping for humanity
Map Squad is an online mapping community where we can organize casual and frequent mapping projects and mapathons using OpenStreetMap.
In addition to helping people in need, Mapsquad provides the opportunity to meet virtually with others who are passionate about mapping.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a global shutdown. But even during these challenging times, we can make a meaningful impact by helping those who are less fortunate. Mapping can save lives! For example, today’s hot topic is mapping for a nation’s COVID-19 response.
We can use the rapidly developing technology of our times to our advantage and emphasize the importance of maps.
Our online club strives to aid organizations such as the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders.
Mapping will be done on OpenStreetMap, an open source map edited by the general public. The role of participants is mapping roads, buildings and other features. It’s actually quite simple, with no coding or previous experience required.
